Welcome Amber Salzman as HFC United's New Girls Director of Coaching

Please welcome Amber Salzman as HFC United's new Girls Director of Coaching.  Currently Amber is a health and physical education teacher in Apple Valley, as well as an experienced soccer coach. Amber has been coaching in the Hastings community for four years- as a coach for an HFC United boys team, as well as having coached the Hastings High School Girls "B" Squad team.  Amber is passionate about player development and teaching life lessons through sports.

Amber has five children, from ages one to ten, with her oldest two children attending McAuliffe Elementary here in Hastings.  Amber enjoys jumping in and playing with teams during any small sided games at practices, as well as motivating those around her to live a healthy lifestyle.

  • Contracted Coaching Assistant for HFC United's Girls Fall 2020 teams
  • Contracted Team Coach at HFC United (2018-2020)
  • Head Coach, Hastings High School Girls "B" Squad Soccer team (2017-2019)
  • Junior High & Junior Varsity Coach in St. Paul for five years
  • Former Youth Softball Coach, as well as coaching several youth sport camps

  • Bachelors of Science- Health & Physical Education
  • Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Head Coaches Certification
  • Currently working on completing the US Soccer Federation (USSF) Grassroots Coaching & USSF National "D" Licenses
