Core Four Medallion Training Program

Core Four Medallion training program overview

HFC United is excited to offer our year-round Core Four Medallion training program. It is a balance of competition and fun recreational soccer that will allow for your player to reach their fullest potential and have a fun experience at the same time!  Each season offers a unique experience to help build upon your players skill set and expand their understanding for the flow of the game. Fuel your competitive fire with our Summer and Fall League organized team practices and games. Build upon your technical skills during the winter playing a fast-paced game of Futsal. In the Spring, gear up for the competitive summer season by having fun playing our co-ed recreational Indoor Soccer League with your friends.

We want to offer year-round soccer opportunities for players that want it. We believe in multiple sport athletes and understand the time commitment within each family and the desire to play other sports. We strive to offer a soccer experience that our players will enjoy and grow their love for the game!

Competitive Fall League- Training starts in the middle of August and the TCSL Fall League kicks off around the last weekend in August and runs through the middle of October. Plan for two or three training sessions/games per week till the end of season. Teams play a six-match schedule mostly on Friday nights, Saturdays or Sundays. Matches or practices will not be scheduled over Labor Day Weekend. The Fall TCSL League is the official start to our competitive seasons. We strive to form teams that will also compete together in the following TCSL Summer League. Some players will only choose to play fall because of other commitments. Therefore, there is a potential that your player could be on a different team from the fall to summer. Click to view our Competitive page.

Recreational Winter Futsal- What is Futsal? Futsal is a fast-paced game of soccer played in the Hastings High School gym. The season starts late October and runs through the middle of February with games played on Sundays. It is a recreational league for all to participate and is age group specific. It is in addition to and included in your HFC Summer and Fall Competitive League registration fees. All players must register even if you have already signed up for Summer and Fall League. Futsal is a great way to introduce all kids to soccer and see if they want to keep playing and competing to get better! It is open for all players that meet the age requirements. Recreational Spring Indoor Co-Ed League- HFC United's co-ed recreational Indoor Soccer League is one of the most popular, and anticipated programs of the year! The indoor soccer league has its roots starting over 25 years ago. It still is going strong today because it is so much fun! Starting in the middle March and going through April we play games on Friday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays. After the hockey season ends, the City of Hastings installs flat, turf-like placement over the hockey rink at the Civic Arena. Games are fast paced, usually high scoring, and is a good warm-up for competitive travel soccer players as the Minnesota spring season is as unpredictable as its winter season. Click to view our Indoor Soccer League page.

Competitive Summer League- Training starts with one time per week practices on the Civic Arena indoor turf in the middle of March. At the beginning of April, we will increase individual team training to twice a week by adding additional sessions at Todd Field. Weather permitting, we then move to VETS park for the rest of the summer. The TCSL Summer League kicks off around the first weekend in May and runs up to the 4th of July. Plan for two or three training sessions/games per week till the end of season. Teams will play a total of ten matches during the summer season. Matches or practices will not be scheduled over Memorial Day Weekend. TCSL implemented a primary play night in 2022 and games are mostly scheduled on weekdays. Check out this link to view the play nights by age group for 2022. This is subject to change; however, it will be our goal to mimic practice schedules based upon primary nights and secondary nights. Please be flexible as coaches and field schedules may dictate otherwise.  Click to view our Competitive page.
